NINH members publish study on sustainability and organizational structure

9 07 2009

Where Sustainability Lives, a recent study published by Framework:CR, indicates that organizational structure matters to sustainability performance. Management approach and board oversight—both key indicators of integration—influence the extent to which companies are recognized for sustainability and, as a result, can impact their brand value.

“This research is useful for any company–whether here in Connecticut or beyond–that is seeking to formalize its management approach to sustainability,” said Kyle Whitaker, a principal with Framework:CR and NINH co-president.

Summer is here, despite the rain!

2 06 2009

NINH organized some great events this summer to encourage folks to get out and meet fellow Net Impact professional and student members who may in the area for the summer.

Our summer kick-off event was a lively happy hour held on June 18th at The Blue Pearl in downtown New Haven.  Over 20 individuals showed up to network with current members, potential members, as well as to meet students interning in CT.  Thanks for everyone’s support, especially on a rainy Thursday evening!

Next up, on July 16, we’ll be taking a tour of the Yale Sustainable Farm, followed by networking at the newly opened Kitchen Zinc.  Please join us there!
